Calmac Update – 30 July
Following further discussions with Transport Scotland, Calmac are pleased to update that from 31 July customers will be able to book travel up to and including 18 October 2020 – the period covering the remainder of the season.
From 31 July, bookings will be open for the period up to and including 18 October 2020.
What this means for our capacity
Customer reservations which were made before our bookings closed earlier this year are already in the system. This, together with the implementation of the latest physical distancing guidelines means that our capacity is still less than it would be in ‘normal’ circumstances.
Making a booking
We expect our telephones and website to be very busy on 31 July. Where possible, please book via our website at www.calmac.co.uk. Access to our website will be managed by a queue system, which is in place during periods of high demand to provide an improved booking experience. When in the queue, customers will automatically be directed to our website when it’s their turn. We are grateful for your patience. Find out more about Queue It.
Next phase of our timetable
Our current temporary timetable will run for the remainder of the season, up to and including 18 October 2020. We are working closely with Transport Scotland on the next phase of our timetable and will update our customers as soon as it has been agreed.
Safer Travel with CalMac

Changes to how you sail with CalMac
If you are preparing to sail with us, you will find that some of our familiar processes have changed. Take a look at our guide on how to prepare and plan ahead for your journey – which includes wearing a face covering when travelling with us, and when in our port offices, unless exempt.
