These measures come into effect at midnight (Monday 7 September) and will be reviewed in a week.

These restrictions – which limit indoor gatherings – will remain in place for people living in the following local authority areas:

• Glasgow City
• East Renfrewshire
• West Dunbartonshire

People in all of these areas:

• should not meet other household groups in indoor household settings, whether in these areas or elsewhere
•  can continue to meet other households outside e.g. in gardens/hospitality
• should be extra vigilant and follow all guidance
