Just Keep Swimming
If you have seen the film 'Finding Nemo' you'll know why this page is called that. If not, it is a page of local Facebook groups, and anything else we can find, to help us keep going during the Lockdown.
Please send us details of groups and resources that you know about. Email [email protected]
This is our brand new group: all Mull (and associated islands) residents are invited to join. Tell us your gardening stories as the world wakes up to spring - or ask questions, raise issues, that our team may be able to help with.
Here's what we are here for:
A group to give hope (as we look forward to visiting one another's gardens when restrictions are lifted) and practical support to those who are developing their garden or beginning to grow vegetables.
This is a public group for those of us living on Mull who wish to discuss how COVID-19 is affecting or may affect our mental health. Relevant Information will be posted also. Respect, tolerance, no judgement, kindness and compassion toward one another is paramount. We at Mull Safe and Sound are fully inclusive. This is NOT a therapy group nor are we here to fix you. We are not professionals so will not analyse you or diagnose you. We are trained in Mental Health First Aid, SafeTalk (Suicide and Self-Harm), I-Act (Workplace Mental Wellness) and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). We also bring a wealth of lived experience. We can signpost to where required.
The 'Earth' Without 'Art' is Just 'EH' As these difficult and challenging days go by many of us on Mull will feel a need to engage with the Arts. So the plan is to set up a local MULL INSIDER ART NETWORK, initially through a Facebook Page.
Some plans and ideas are already forming:
A weekly 'Radio' show - we hope to have a mini-pilot ready next Wednesday (More later)
A weekly fun Art, or 'How to Make' video This group is for anyone on Mull interested in the arts, so that we can start talking, share ideas etc.
Hopefully some island-wide projects will emerge.
The Island Survivalist's CV (what happens on the island stays on the island). Brought to you by Jareth the loo-roll-killing cat and his human friends. Advice and chat on how to survive and thrive in the present difficult times, for residents of Mull, Iona, Ulva and surrounding islands.
This group is to discuss covid-19 as a community, rather than meeting up as a large group. This page is to encourage conversation and ideas. All suggestions welcome (from pro lockdown people and anti lockdown people).
A group for families to swap ideas, and to promote social well-being by sharing the activities of our isolated households during this difficult time. For residents of Mull, Iona, Ulva and their families.
Welcome to the Facebook Page of the Ross of Mull Art Exhibition. 2020 would have been the 5th year of the exhibition which takes place annually in the Community Centre in Pennyghael on the Ross of Mull. However, because of the current COVID-19 restrictions we are not able to have an exhibition this year and have decided to post images of our artists work as a virtual exhibition - we hope you enjoy!
