Mull and Iona Vets Covid-19 Update:
As always, in case of emergency or if urgent attention or advice is required we can be contacted 24/7 on 01688 302789. If the office is unmanned the answering machine message will direct callers to the duty vet’s contact number.
Please be aware that day-to-day we still have a “closed doors” policy at the Tobermory office, and minimal staff on site, except when dealing with emergencies, so please do not visit the surgery unless by prior arrangement.
For non-urgent enquiries and repeat prescription requests please call 01688 302789 between 9am and 12 noon Tuesday-Friday, or email us at contactmullandionavets@gmail.com. Please reserve Monday mornings for urgent calls only.
When contacted about less urgent or routine clinical cases we will give advice as soon as possible via phone or email, and we will organise an appointment to see the vet if needed.
Repeat prescriptions and routine wormer and tick treatments require 72 hours notice. These can be collected from the surgery at an agreed time, or we can help to organise delivery if needed. We would like to remind visitors to pack their pet’s prescription medications, and to ensure all dogs have been given an effective anti-tick treatment before coming on holiday.
We are carrying out puppy and kitten vaccinations and first year booster vaccinations as soon as they become due, and are working to catch up with any overdue boosters for mature pets as soon as possible.
Please contact us if your pets are overdue their annual boosters and we will do our best to accommodate you as soon as we can. We are also routinely carrying out cat neuterings, while other small animal surgeries and dental procedures are being dealt with on a prioritised case-by-case basis.
