Caring for people helpline

The Caring for People helpline brings together partner agencies and covers a wide range of issues including

  • help for those who are experiencing difficulties accessing food or prescriptions,
  • business advice including access to grants and anyone who has financial or personal concerns.

Call 01546 605 524  Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. An answer machine service will be available to leave a message out-with office hours and at weekends. This service aims to get help to where it is most needed.     If you have other options, please leave this line open for vulnerable people who may not be able to help themselves.

Citizens' Advice Bureau

Argyll and Bute Citizens Advice Bureau is a local, independent, charity which provides free, impartial, and confidential advice and information to give you the tools you need to sort out any issues or problems.

Help for older people

The Age Scotland Helpline is a free, confidential phone service for older people, their carers and families in Scotland. Our team provides information, friendship and advice. Our Helpline is free to call and available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.  Call on 0800 12 44 222.
