Everyone arriving in Scotland on an international flight from next Monday will have to quarantine in a hotel for 10 days. The Scottish government said it would be “block booking” 1,300 rooms at six hotels near the country’s airports.
The £1,750 cost of the stay will have to be borne by passengers themselves.
A similar scheme will operate in other parts of the UK, but unlike Scotland, only flights from countries on a “red list” will be covered
