EwenMe is a new phone based support service launched by Ewen’s Room to combat the effects of isolation caused by the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) crisis. The aim of this new initiative is to reduce anxiety, loneliness and personal isolation by connecting people for a regular social chat. Many Helplines have been established, but few are designed just for this kind of ongoing informal contact.
EwenMe will do its best to match anyone who requests the service with one of their friendly volunteers who has similar interests. Timing and frequency of frequency of calls will be set up by mutual agreement between the client and the allocated volunteer.
Anyone interested in making use of this service can either call 01967 750845 or fill in a form at www.ewensroom.com/ewenme and we will match them up with a suitable volunteer.
